New Microsoft Research Reveals Our Brains Need a Short Break During Meetings – Microsoft has collected quite a collection of their research on day-to-day work that changed during this pandemic, and in addition, some time ago they have published a new study that shows the results of what happens when a person conducts a two-hour meeting without a break, and the results, are not good.
As part of the study, The company’s Human Factors Lab included at least 14 people in a video meeting while wearing a hat that measures their brain’s electrical activity.
In this study, there are several meeting sessions conducted, first with pause, and one with no break, and the results you can see in the picture below.
Conducting meetings or meetings without rest is very influential on a person’s stress levels, so based on this data, Microsoft has confirmed that humans need rest when their brains have been encouraged to think for a certain period of time.
Well so guys, if you do a meeting ya, either online or offline (face-to-face) at least give a little time break so that your brain is fresh again, and re-focus on the discussion that is being discussed.
