ClubHouse Confirms Security Leak On Their Service! – ClubHouse for the uninitiated, this service is a social media based on audio chat, where users can interact with each other with audio in a vitual room.
Currently this service is quite viral, even almost all groups share each other to follow each other, well except me who did not make it because less interested to join there.
Regarding clubhouse, it was only based on a statement to Bloomberg,a ClubHouse spokesperson mentioned that a user can take live audio from several private rooms and then share it on their website. These incidents appear to have occurred in recent weeks, and there is certainly the possibility of an attacker entering the clubhouse system.
This situation was also briefly disclosed by the SIO a few days ago. One of them is a Clubhouse user ID and chatroom that appears to be transmitted over the internet with plaintext and is not encrypted.
Well of course this is quite surprising because with it the whole private message can be taken and disseminated without knowledge. Furthermore, SIO revealed that the backend platform of the service is handled by a Shanghai-based startup called Agora Inc, and based on circulating reports, the China-based company stated that they are temporarily storing raw audio data for processing on their servers, only that there is no clarity on how long the data will be stored.
For some people some of these surprising facts may make them reluctant to use the ClubHouse service, but even so today its users continue to surge day by day.
